 Drying with Biomass

 An Economic and Green Revolution

Why Biomass?

Grain drying represents a significant expense in large-scale farming. To reduce this cost, especially in corn cultivation, some farmers are adopting innovative technologies like biomass drying.

The volatility of the fossil fuel market makes it increasingly difficult to manage drying costs. By converting to biomass, you reduce your risks related to market volatility while also lowering your drying costs.

Did You Know?

Biomass is 3 to 5 times cheaper than propane and 2 to 3 times cheaper than natural gas.

The BioDryAir Dryer by Triple Green Products

The BioDryAir system offers a simple and economical alternative for corn producers. Dry your grains with any type of plant biomass (wood, forestry residues, agricultural residues, etc.) or with plants specifically grown for energy production, such as switchgrass and fast-growing trees like poplars and willows.

How Does It Work?

Triple Green Products has developed a furnace specifically designed for drying corn crops. A 100% automated furnace with an action response in less than 10 minutes. Once the furnace is connected to your system, continue your operations as usual.

Whether your grain dryer is powered by propane or natural gas, the conversion remains the same. A furnace equivalent to your dryer's capacity is selected and then connected to your dryer. The combustion result (air and smoke) is directly redirected to the dryer.

Compared to a traditional heating system, the hot air produced by biomass combustion has the same performance: same temperature and same humidity.

No modifications are made to your dryer to protect the integrity of the original system. Thus, you maintain the full resale value of your dryer.

A fossil fuel-free approach that reduces both your environmental footprint and your operating costs.

Compatibility

The BioDryAir system is compatible with all conventional grain dryers:

  • Topdry Dryer

  • Column Dryer

  • Mixflow Dryer

  • Delux Dryer

  • LAW Dryer

  • Strahl Dryer

  • Bonfanti Dryer

Why Adopt It?

  • Reduction of Drying Costs:

    • 70-80% reduction for propane

    • 50-70% reduction for natural gas

  • Greater Stability of Drying Costs

  • Energy Independence

  • Reduction of GHGs and Carbon Neutrality

Produce your own biomass and become “net zero.”
